‘This is the Battle for Britain’ – Leave champions warn of Brexit betrayal

LEADING Brexit campaigners have warned the next six months “will be nothing less than a Battle for Britain”.

Richard Tice and John Longworth, who launched the Leave Means Leave movement after the 2016 referendum, said the nation’s future direction would be determined between now and March 2019.

And they said they were prepared to take a stand against the “the cynical machinations of a powerful cabal determined to deny the will of the people” with a new campaign to fight to ensure Brexit voters are not betrayed.

They said: “Since the Chequers announcement, we have been inundated with inquiries from people who want to get involved and support our work. Later this month, we will reveal more details of our plans and objectives.

“This is going to be big, and we are hiring more people as we speak.”

The entrepreneurs said they had spent the summer raising funds for the battle ahead and described the response to their efforts as “astonishing”.

The said donors had already committed funds and they were are optimistic of more money to come to finance their renewed campaign.

It comes as Brexit talks get under way again in Brussels. Yesterday was dominated by the Northern Ireland question while the future deal discussions kick off today.
