Government must hold Article 50 vote in Parliament as soon as possible

The Government should hold a vote in Parliament on Article 50 as soon as possible, but crucially before the Supreme Court hearing, Leave Means Leave urged today.

Co-Chair of Leave Means Leave, Richard Tice said:

“It is absolutely essential that the Government moves ahead with Brexit.

“Businesses, investors and consumers need to be reassured that the UK will continue to remain a stable, world leading economic force.

“Holding a vote in Parliament at the soonest opportunity , will render the Supreme Court appeal irrelevant.

“The High Court ruling was an inconvenience, but it is time to move beyond it.

“Remain campaigners will try every trick in the book to try to prevent Brexit from happening, including further lawsuits, and a vote in Parliament will put a stop to this.

“The Government should get on with the vote, trigger Article 50 and get Britain out of the EU as quickly as it possibly can.”
